Baha Mar, Caribbean history's biggest single-phase luxury resort development celebrated its construction inauguration with a massive official ceremony yesterday, 21st Feb'11. The 1,000 acre planned luxury resort is worth $3.4 billion and will feature a sprawling gaming and entertainment complex along with super luxury accommodation. The much awaited project is slated to be completed by late 2014 and will include some of the world's biggest luxury hotel brands. The Baha Mar luxury resort is expected to raise the bar and set a new standard for luxury hotels and resorts.
Baha Mar's Chairman and CEO, Mr. Sarkis Izmirlian, while addressing the audience in the grand ceremony said, "Baha Mar is born from a single vision of breathtaking magnitude 5 years ago. The aim was to deliver an authentic Caribbean experience, combined with the essence of the Bahamas and the distinction of the world's finest luxury resorts."
